Yes, I know we spelled it "Shiva" on the EP cover. 
We wanted to be certain that people would pronounce it correctly.
 
    Like any good children of the 70's, we were overshadowed by The Threat. 
    The pitched flanging sound on the bass synth was a function of 
old analogue synths: you could force the two 
oscillators to be at the same pitch. When in "sync" mode like this, the pitch bend wheel would control the 
harmonics of the tone, rather than the pitch of the tone. You hear the up and down 
flangingsound of the bass because Paul was moving the wheel up and down by hand.
